VPN Strange Problem

Please help, I have a vpn issue where I cannont connect
from my home. I can connect frome everywhere else. I
have it pinned down to the dsl modem hooked directly
into the laptop, but for some reason it wont let me
connect through the dsl modem. any suggestions. I am
doumbfounded and frustrated.

Hi Jerry -

Perhaps your ISP is blocking ports? Does that dsl modem have a built-in
firewall that could be interfering? I'm assuming you've been able to VPN
successfully from your laptop from other locations?

yeah, I'd go with Chad on this...many ISPs block 47

Maybe due to WinXP Firewall being activated on the laptop NIC? Any other
firewall software on the laptop?

Yes I can vpn from everywhere else I try, even dial up works. I just can't
connect from home.
