The year 2005 is nearly over, and what a year it has been. We've endured =
Mother Nature's powerful strength this year. In January we were stil =
reeling from the tsunami disaster. We battled hurricanes this fall, and =
the hurricanes usually won (especially in New Orleans). And right now =
we're watching heavy damages due to fires in Oklahoma, and extreme cold =
and freezing in parts of Europe.

On the SBS front, the big news was the rollout of SBS Service Pack 1. =
Our hats are off to all those who live on the "bleeding edge" and were =
part of the beta testing of this product. We also had a tremendous =
turnout for SMB Nation 2005 in September. So many people came up to me =
and had (mostly) kind words to the 'song of the week'. It was great =
putting faces to the names!

As we bring this year to a close, I would say one of the highlights was =
listening to Jeff Middleton's passionate tale of the New Orleans =
disaster at SMB Nation, and his immediate session after that on a "real" =
disaster recovery experience which will not be forgotten by those in =
attendance.

Through tsuanmis and hurricanes, hot fixes and service packs ... all I =
can say is to make sure you tell someone you love them. We all have been =
empowered by our Creator to make this world a better place. So do =
something about it in 2006!

Peace, love and joy to each and everyone of you. I can't wait to see =
what's in store for this coming year.

Oh yes ... the song of the week ... I would highly suggest buying James =
Taylor's (2004) Christmas Album =
:(http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B00078V7AW/103-8709472-53=

Auld Lang Syne

Should old these verse be forgot,
And never brought to mind?
Should all my singing be for naught,=20
Or written down in rhyme?

Chorus:=20
For all of these songs, my dear
For all of these songs,
We'll sing the words of kindness yet,
For all of these songs!

And here's a hand to all my friends,
Who made this year so bright
And we'll share a drink that'll never end,
For all of these songs!
