So, here we are approaching the end of October ... SBS2003 is finally
released ... and many of us survived either SMB Nation in Indianapolis
and/or Microsoft's Partners Conference in New Orleans. So, we must be
feeling like we're sitting on top of the world, or at least king of the
road.

With that in m ind, our song of the week goes back to the 1965 with Roger
Miller's first hit: King of the Road
WAV: http://www.rogermillermuseum.com/kingofroad.WAV

Artist: Roger Miller Lyrics
Song: King of the Road Lyrics

Software for sale or rent
Files to let...fifty cents.
No code, no tapes, no disks
I like to use the Internet
Ah, but..two hours of powerpoint
Now my eyes are nearly out of joint
I'm a man of means by I'm no means
King of the show

Third conference, all this month
Destination...home, I want
Wore out those battery packs,
I'm tired of all those useless hacks,
I browse new web sites I have found
Good, but they don't stay around
I'm a man of means by I'm no means
King of the road.

I know every MVP in every group
All of their web sites, some are a hoot!
And every answer that I've ever found
Use Google is the greatest tool that's around

I sing,
Software for sale or rent
Files to let...fifty cents.
No code, no tapes, no disks
I ain't got the latest fix
Ah, but..two hours of powerpoint
Now my eyes are nearly out of joint
I'm a man of means by I'm no means
King of the show

when I was a boy I sang that tune in a school arts competition.

Brings back memories of why my career didn't continue in that direction ;-).
