We have never before used the SA program and no very
little about it. We purchased SBS2000 from Dell about 30
days ago with 25 license and also purchased SA since we
new that SBS2003 would be released soon. Dell does not
have a clue how the program works and can not seem to
help (many hours on the phone with Dell only to find out
that no one there knows what they are talking about).
Below are my questions (for now).

1. Where and how do I receive the SBS2003 media?

2. I can obtain my license numbers from the eOpen
website. I assume this will work fine and I will be
prompted during installation to enter these numbers.
With SBS2000 I was prompted for disks and not the actual
license numbers to type in.

3. SBS2000 included SQL and a couple other goodies that
are only available in SBS2003 Premium (not standard).
Will the new SBS2003 license that I received through SA
allow me to install the Premium media?

Any help would be apreciated. I would prefer to receive
responses directly via email at jeff@msg-llc.com. Thanks!

You can recieve the sbs 2003 media by calling microsoft full fullfillment at
800-248-0655 and you must have your authorization number and liscense
agreement number which should have been issued to you or an order
confimation e-mail from Microsoft. Once you get your software you can go to
https://eopen.microsoft.com to obtain your volume liscense key. Finally I
would hope that whatever product you purchased from Dell would be the
corresponding product you would recieve from Microsoft. I have not been able
to confirm if we will be getting the premium edition but I would feel really
jipped if they sent me the standard addition. Also the software won't be
available from full fullfillment until 11/1/03. There are probably other
ways to do it but this is the way I have done it and it works for me.

Make sure of one thing: You have SA on the server software AND on the SBS
CALs. If not, hurry and purchase those (since you have 60 more days to do
so).

First-> Media for SBS2k3 Premium is not available yet. So you need to wait a
little bit.

According to Michael Sadoff [MS]-

<Quote>
When you purchase the SA, you provide an email address and contact
information for your Benefits Administrator, who should receive a welcome
letter with detailed instructions how to register your SA benefits at the
MVLS website (https://licensing.microsoft.com).

SBS2000 CALs come in disks. Apart from the "paper" (or electronic) stuff you
need to order the floppy disks containing the CALs.

You will get Premium ed.
