Slow ASP Page Loads

Hello: We have built an application using SQL server 2000 backend, ASP,
JavaScript, ActiveX running on SBS2000. Problem is we get uneven response
times on page loads. Sometimes it is incredibly fast and at other times, I
could make a pot of coffee between the 'click' and the load. Any ideas
where I should look? I have already tried shutting off unecessary services
etc. Thanks for any responses!

The possibilities are so many and varied it's impossible to even guess
with so little information.
Use your coding skills to set up timing outputs throughout the stages of
the process and determine where and when the issues arise. - it goes
with the territory.
