I am running SBS 2000 and am having a problem getting my
websites to publish. I have two web sites I am trying to
host. (My box has two nics and I am using host headers)
I have installed the frontpage 2002 extensions and can see
and work with the default web site just fine. However I
cannot access the other two sites with frontpage or the
server admin pages. When I try to go to the site from the
admin page it says:

11001 - Host not found

Technical Information (for support personnel)

Background:
This error indicates that the gateway could not find the
IP address of the Web site you are trying to access.

I would appreciate any help!

You must use Web Publishing Rules, see:

Would this work for a sub-domain?

Our main domain is hosted with a hosting company but I'm wanting to setup a
sub-domain - e.g. members.mydomain.com on the SBS. I'm not sure if the
webhosting would work for this setup. Also, is there a way to restrict the
inbound connections so that they only are accepted from the hosted website?

Of course this will work for sub domains too. Imagine this:

www.yourdomain.com on IP adres_1
sub-domain.yourdomain.com on IP address_2

You need to create:

A DNS zone with the host A record for 'www' pointing to IP adres_1 and a
host A record for 'sub-domain' pointing to IP adres_2

You want external users to see sub-domain.yourdomain.com? Be sure that the
authoritive person for yourdomain.com created a host A record for
sub-domain.yourdomain.com pointing to the IP address of your external Nic
*and* create a destination set/web publishing rule for it in ISA.
