Event ID message means nothing to me, however worth checking the following
settings:
in M$shared Fax - Properties - Reciepts Tab. Are the email address, Server
Name and Port (usually 25) settings valid. Are enable message boxes as
receipts box ticked?
I use the route through email method for incoming mail so the email addy I
use for the from email address is in fact also an exchange distribution
group and thus does exist. If you don't need a distribution group, and
other settings are valid, try entering an email addy you know does exist in
exchange such as administrator.
