I am planning to setup a brooktrout fax board with support
for upto 4 lines to use with MS shared fax.I have Small
Business Server 2000. The question I have is that is there
a way to route all the incoming faxes received on MS
Shared Fax to Exchange mailboxes without having to
purchase third party software? Any help or pointers in the
right direction would be greatly appreciated.
Lakshman.

Addendum to question.
I know that it can be routed to one common mailbox but is
there a way to route the faxes to different mailboxes
based on the line the fax is received on? I know GFI does
that.
Thanks,
Lakshman.

Under programs go to Microsoft Shared Fax > Shared Fax
Service Manager. Once the console opens click on Devices
and Providers > Devices > XXXX Modem > Incoming Methods.
On the right pane of the console you'll see three Methods
and amonf them "Route Through Email", right Click on it
and choose Properties. On the email tab enter the email
address you want the faxes to go to. As a suggestion if
you are planning on several recipients to receive emails,
create a Distribution Group assign an Exchange Box to it
and include in the group the Users you want the faxes to
go to.

I hope it helps

John
