Shared Fax 2000 SBS

I get the following Error in Event Viewer

"An error was encountered while preparing to send the fax.
The service will not attempt to resend the fax. Please
close other applications before resending.
Sender: Croydon Golf Club.
Billing code: 20.
Sender company: .
Sender dept: .
Recipient name: Longmores.
Recipient number: +61 (3) 97236028.
Device name: HCF 56K PCI Modem. "

I have sent from the SERVER and from a Win2000 Workstation
I can't figure out why the Shared Fax Service wont send
FAXES.
Also I am having trouble with Incomong Faxes to an
internal mail address

I am assuming this error occurs on the server? Or does it occur on the
Workstation?

And completely off the topic Croydon GC in VIC? Just asking cause I lived
in Croydon for a while. Dad put sprinklers in there from time to time etc
just getting a little misty eyed.

This is a soft modem. That does not work well at all. Get a real external
modem that is on the HCL and try again. Or buy a Brooktrout Trufax 200.
