Hi everyone:

I had to boot up my SBS 2000 server and I notice that Symante Mail Security
for Exchange the status is "start pending" I can't stop or restart the
service because the options are in grey and I can't select them. Has this
happened to anyone that can help me out with this? What can I do to solve
the problem in order to start the service.

Thanks for a great site!!

Denise

Have you tried rebooting again? Does the server have plenty of free
space on the C: drive? I define plenty as at least 20% free. Have you
ever defragged the C: drive? I don't know that my questions are
answers to your problem but sometimes making sure the server is
running as fast as it can makes a difference.

That much free is great. My ideas were not of use then. Well reading
the one link a defrag might help sometimes but the depend on service
cited in the article is a better idea.
