Hello,

I am in the process of upgrading our SBS2000 to SBS2003. To do this I am
required to first install SP1 for SBS2000. Running sp1setup.exe always
reports the following error: -

Service pack 1 (SP1) requires 125MB of disk space on the drive containing
the ClientApps shared folder...

Then bails out. Our server only has two drives: -

C: 8.00 GB with 2.94 GB free
D: 25.8 GB with 12.9 GB free

I am obviously missing something very simple, can anybody help?

Kind regards

Ray

this is a common error message that is caused by manually removing the
shared client /company data files, if memory serves me correct. does someone
have the link for this?

Hi Kevin,

Thanks for you very speedy responce. I have implemented the changes but am
still unable to install SP1(same error). Your fix looked as if it should have
corrected the error but I'm afraid it did not. Do you have any other ideas
please?

Hi, sorry Kevin your tip did work. I created the ClntApp Dir on our D: drive
as it has more free space. This failed even with the correct registry entry,
So I moved it back to C:, modified the registry and bingo, our SP1 is now
installed.

Thank you!
