Is there a way to change the <ServerStatusReport> to a
valid email address in the configure reports? My ISP is
bouncing this as SPAM because it doesn't contain a valid
return address. The message header below used to get
through but now fails due to increased SPAM filtering
according to Comcast. According to them if the FROM: was
changed to a valid email address this would work ok.

Hi,

There is not a way to change the From address for the ServerStatusReports
in SBS2000 (2003 does have that option) but we've tested out an option that
should send the mail to you with a valid email address.

1. In Active Directory Users and Computers create a user called (doesnt
matter exactly) ServerStatus and create a mailbox.
2. Then create a Contact for your external mail - add you SMTP address to
the contact information.
3. On the ServerStatus account - under Exchange General properties on the
Delivery Options button - Select Forward To and pick the contact for your
email from the list under Modify.

Now set the ServerStatus reports to mail the ServerStatus email and that
will automatically forward the mail message to you and should stamp it with
a valid From address.
