We had to reboot our SBS2003 server this morning and it came up with a
screen that says 'Rebuilding Active Directory Indices'. It's been running for
over four hours now. Can anyone tell me what this means and how long it will
take. No one can log in or access anything on the network.

Thanks...

someone posted that they let it run 20 hours, and never finished. they then
rebooted and went into safe mode w/ network support, and ran chkdsk /f on
the boot drive and rebooted. After that the server came up fine.
