I would like some adivce on how to configure the DNS Server.=20

What should be the "Forwarding Address" in the DNS server on the SBS =
2000 server if the ISP provides dynamic IP addresses only?
So far this has been a problem, as the server and all workstations are =
hooked up to the router, which translates to whatever the new WAN and =
ISP DNS server address happens to be. As of right now, I have the =
forwarding address pointing to the router.
There is only one SBS 2000 server so far, ISA is not used.

Below is what I have configured so far.

1. DNS is configured per the following=20
- Gateway (IP address of office router)
- DNS Servers (IP address of local SBS 2000 DNS server)
- Primary DNS points to itself.
- Secondary DNS points to itself
- DNS domain name ( domain-name.com)
- WINS Servers (IP address of local SBS 2000 WINS server)
- Primary WINS points to local WINS server.
- NBT node type (0x8)
- Hosts and LMHOSTS files are not used.
- Enable NetBios over TCP/IP is checked=20

Thanks very much.

Thanks I got it and the link did help.

I'm not using ISA on the current configuration. Its a demonstration for =
a client, who wants SBS 2003 Standard only, so I am testing the upgrade, =
the dependability with a dynamic IP and so on. I believe in using ISA, =
but different cases call for different solution.

Thanks,
