Slightly off topic I know but I always get a response in
this newsgroup!

My boss has a PA and he would like his PA to be able to
view his sent items as well as his calender. Now the
calender part is easy but the sent items I cannot work
out. Any ideas??

It's exchange in sbs 2000 and Outlook 2003.

thanks in advance

I never understand that Open -> Other Users Folder... thing in Outlook.
Why doesn't it list all the user's folders? Is there a way to add
folders to the list?

Anyway, what I do is to just give the PA full access to the boss's
mailbox. Here's what to do: Go into SBS, click Start and open the
Administrator's Console. Click "Active Directory Users and Computers"
then go to the top of the screen and click View and Advanced Features.
Go back to "Active Directory Users and Computers", expand your domain
and go to the Users folder. Right click the boss and choose Properties.
Choose the Exchange Advanced Tab and click the Mailbox Rights botton.
Add the PA and give the appropriate rights. I usually just select Full
Mailbox Access and that's it. The server side is done.

Now on to the PA's Outlook. Select Tools and Email Accounts. Choose
"View or change existing e-mail accounts" and click next. Click the
"Change..." button. Click "More Settings". Choose the Advanced tab and
press the "Add..." button. Add the boss's user account and press OK,
Next and Finish.

Done deal! Now the PA can enter the boss's business cards into his
contacts, schedule meetings, clean out his deleted items folder and
retreive his sent mail. (All the things bosses are not capable of doing
by themselves.)
