Hi
I am trying to set-up a send as on SBS2003. I have a domain hosted by an ISP that i collect from using the POP connector and routing rules, that works OK. However i want certain users to be able to send out as other addresses. For example user1@mydomain.com wants permission to send as accounts@mydomain.com, no problem i thought a quick google and knowledge base 327000 later and it still doesn't work. As per the KB i have added the new account to AD and given exsisting accounts send as permissions, however i get a you do not have permision error. A couple of questions therfore
I have added the new account to AD as per the KB article but it is not and accout in Exchange and the KB does not mention adding this, should i
Also the exsisting users are set-up as users in server management but do not appear in AD, is this normal
Assuming i get these send as accounts working i have to set-up a load of 'dummy' users, how do i avoid these being a security risk? For example what can i turn off for these users who after all are not ever going to log in
Cheers, Dave
