I'm about to create a VPN connection to a customer through the internet. We have are own domain and a firewall. When connecting through VPN I will be logging on to the customers domain and a had few questions about security on my PC and the Network Domain that I will be logging on from. When connected to the customer I will be getting an IP address from the customers DHCP server

I will create the connection in Network connections --> connect to a network at my work place -- Virtual Private Network connection. After entering the ip address to the server. I will put a user name and password and check the box in properties include windows login domain. Finally enter the domain, user and password that the customer gave me. After all this I will hit the connect button

1. When I connect to that customer will they have access to my files on my hard drive

2. Will they have access to my SQL Server

3. Will they be able to have access to other computers on my network

4. Lets say in TCP/IP I unchecked use default gateway on remote network. Would the above answers be different. I know by doing this I still have access to printers and network shares on my own network! When it is checked I don't have access to printers or network shares from on my own network!

I just want to be safe

Mike
