Good thought. Even if you scan it as a multi-page document, then export =
it to a TIFF file, the export process will create separate files for =
each page. Just make sure you select a TIFF format other than =
multi-page. If the file is named A in PaperPort, it'll export as A1, =
A2....

I'd try to do at most a few hundred pages at a time. Be careful when =
you export them - you won't want to create 500 files on your desktop, =
for example.

Other programs can probably do this as well - see if you have anything =
that will let you scan as a multi-page, then export to a single-page =
format like group 4 tiff.

Won't your scanner create individual files directly?

Stinking newsgroup reader cutting off pages of stuff. We have placed a
few scsi based scanners that work well. This was the low end one.
http://www.superwarehouse.com/Fujitsu_ScanPartner_fi-4220C_Flatbed_Scanner_(With_ADF)/CG01000-480201/p/119595
We also placed a more expensive one that was faster. The 4220 is
pretty fast. Gives the typist a chance to rest the wrist between
scans. Maybe a few seconds rest. Doc office is using the low end one
to scann patient records into pdf for archiving purposes. Pretty cool.
Comes with Acrobat as part of the package.

Have a look at Adobe Acrobat Capture (Personal Edition) - recently -50% =

as Fujitsu, Canon etc.

Excellent! Which software do you use? I think if the lowest one will work,
that my client will be thrilled to get out for $1500.
