I have my hosting and smtp email with asp-office.

I am having problems with my email (2 hours delay and a
lot of bouncing)
I cannot get anyone to answer the phone or respond to my
emails.
Does anyone else use them?

Can I get some other companies that provide SMTP and web
hosting service?

Thanks

I use www.godaddy.com for POP mail and hosting. I've been happy with their
service, and I'm not aware of any outages at all. Pricing is good. My one
complaint is that they do things like block ranges of IP addresses for
various reasons, without clearly documenting that. When I needed to receive
mail from an IP in a blocked range, they unblocked the one IP within a few
hours of my request, but it would have been nice to know about this upfront.

Excellent site. Also read up on how to prevent Relaying
(by default done in Exchange 20000, but always worth
being "informed".

Yes I have a static IP address.
I have a DSL connection.
I also have 2 NIC's - one connected to the DSL modem, the
other to a hub that my 8 clients are connected to.

Thanks

The process now is for your internet service provider to create the =
necessary dns records A records and MX records so that mail sent from =
anywhere in the world can find your SBS server

You would then run the Internet Connection Wizard on the SBS server =
console which pretty much configures Exchange, etc for you

And you are handling your own email.

That sounds exactly what Im doing now.
I refered to that as SMTP mail from my ISP.
I receive and is distributed acordingly.

The problem is I am having problems with my email
bouncing and having massive delays on it. I cannot get
ahold of my ISP as mentioned earlier.

I have called earthlink (who provides my DSL) to see if
they can do what you are suggesting (I refered to it as
SMTP mail) to see if they could do everything and they
said no, they only provide POP3.

I am now thinking its a Earthlink problem as I just got
home and cannot ping my Static IP address.

Your isp tech support is in another time zone. Across a big body of
water. They do not understand your questions, even if they are class
101 email questions.

How do you send email? Using dns or a smarthost? Earthlink now has a
server called smtpauth.earthlink.net. You need to enter a user name
and password to send mail through it. I think they may be turning off
their old servers. Some ADSL services they provide may have a static
ip but not be a commercial account. They deny you the opportunity to
use dns smtp delivery. You can only send to their mail servers.

Zone edit offers good free dns hosting. I have had to transfer dns for
domains to zone edit when the isp was incapable of understanding a
simple A record question.
