Hi All.

I know a lot of people already asked this question, and I read each one of the answers. None of them worked for me.

1) I tried registering smtpsnap.dll - No success
2) Tried re-installing Microsoft File and Printer Sharing - No success

If I right-click on IIS MMC root, I can create a new SMTP Server. When I´m done it says I have to change either the IP address or the port of this Virtual Server in order for it to work. If I change anything or not, the result is the same: When I close IIS MMC and open it again, the newly created SMTP site is GONE.

Also, I can´t see the Default SMTP SITE, but I do see NNTP Server. SMTP is installed and running, as I can send e-mails from My ASP application using CDONTS and Aspemail.

I think this must have something to do with the fact that I have SBS 2000, and I removed Exchange from the system.

Can ANYBODY please help me? I´ll provide any further information promptly.

Thank you.
Alex

SMTP *should* be missing from IIS Management console. It's moved to
Exchange. If you uninstall Exchange, you'd probably need to reinstall
IIS to get it back into the IIS management.
