so if I understand correctly, using the solution you came up =

connector to Yahoo fails when they try to send to a yahoo address =
because they don't have permission?

No issues with other large ISPs -- or at least infrequent enough to =
not be raised by users. Checked blacklists early on in process, no =
listing for server's IP.
This issue started suddenly around the end of November for email to =
Yahoo.com. Yahoo also was changing the user interface to their webmail =
around this time. I have no idea if they were changing their server =
infrastructure at the same time. Something changed.

have you also checked to insure that your public IP is not on a =

The problem is most likely not due to the need for another =
connector.
Do you have a static or dynamic public IP
If you have a Static IP, do you have a reverse lookup record in =
public DNS?

news:13nr3fumf7h3v2d@corp.supernews.com...
I am having problems sending emails to Yahoo.com and my ISP =
does not provide=20
a smart host service. I would like to add an SMTP Connector =
for our outbound=20
emails to Yahoo.com and have it only effective for some of our =
users. For=20
example have emails from Fred and Sue routed through this =
connector, but=20
emails from all other users routed through the normal =
SmallBusiness SMTP=20
connector. I tried raising the cost on the normal connector to =
2 and adding=20
a new connector. The new connector was set for SMTP to =
Yahoo.com at cost 1=20
and set to only allow users Fred and Sue. That worked for Fred =
and Sue. The=20
problem is that other users got an NDR from our server saying =
that "You do=20
not have permission to send to this recipient ... Recipient =
address=20
rejected: invalid sender (3)". I had hoped that the connector =
would reject=20
the email and Exchange would try the higher cost option that =
would not=20
reject it. I was wrong.
This is my first time adding a connector. Am I trying to do =
something that=20
Exchange 2000 will not do or am I just doing about it =
incorrectly.
Thanks for any advice,
Joe M=20
