SBS2K package came Outlook2000 and FrontPage2000. Originally I installed
W2K then applied criticals before installing SBS. SBS then asked for OL2002
CD. Research indicated I had to order SBS SP1 CD in order to get the
OL2002. Further research found info about SBS installing over updated Win2K
would require OL2002 - which I didn't have.

So, wiped out the PC and reinstalled everything this time without updating
W2K. SBS still wants the OL2002 CD!!!!!

Can anybody help me get the CD in less the 4-6 weeks (customer wants SBS
next week) or get SBS2000 to use the OL2000 CD?

You should just be able to stick Outlook in there no matter what version
[2K or 2k2]

Sounds like the media you may be installing SBS from has either SP1 or SP1a
built in, thus it's asking for the 2002 cd for Outlook.. Another way to
tell if it is SBS with the SP built in.. is during the SBS setup itself does
it ask for the SBS cd key, or the SBS cd key and the Outlook cd key.. if it
only ask for the SBS cd key then it's SBS with either SP1 or SP1a included.

The SBS install asked only for the SBS key meaning then its SP1 or SP1a.

I'm assuming then that when the SBS install asked for the OL2002 CD, it was
setting up the client apps, correct?

If so, then should I go back into SBS (post-install) and setup the OL2000,
that came with SBS2000, as the client app? Will it work properly with
SBS2000 or should I get the OL2002 CD?

thanks.....tom
