Hi everyone,

I came across this article in isaserver.org describing the
configuration of a secure connection over ADSL, pertaining specifically
to SBS2K. It appears to be different to the configurations described in
this newsgroup and the SmallBizServer site.

http://www.isaserver.org/tutorials/Configuring_ISA_on_SBS_2000_to_provide_secure_Internet_connection_to_ISP_over_PPTP_Dialup_ADSL__Revised.html
.

I have always configured systems strictly in accordance with the
articles in this newsgroup, but would greatly appreciate any comments
or evaluation of the article above?

Thanking you kindly,

I think the article stinks.

Anything which involves me making a fake anything stinks.

Add a 2nd NIC to the server, buy a <AU$100 router to go between the SBS and
your broadband connection.

I have once followed this article but I do not like it either. Still, the
best way to setup SBS is to use a router and follow my articles:

How should I setup my network:

:-) Thanks a lot for the info. A relief as this is what I have done,
and works fine! I felt a cold chill down my spine when I read this
article and thought that I would have to re-invent the wheel.

Much appreciated.
