Hi,

This thread was started about a week ago, and I needed more information. I
don't think anyone is viewing the original one anymore, so hopefully
reposting it is not too far outside of the correct protocol.

My last post was:

Thanks for the info. I am not sure if this article works for my
configuration. The MX record for my domain points to my Exchange server. I
do not have pop accounts at the ISP. I also do not use my ISP's smtp server
for outgoing messages.

Thanks,

Dwaine

Why would that article wouldn't work for your configuration? The article
doesn't even mention the POP3 connector (i.e. assumes that you have the MX
record) and it doesn't really matter if you use a Smarhost or not. However,
this article might be a little more appropiate:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;324958

In any event... the first thing you need to check is if your SBS box is an
open relay or not. You can use a site like www.ordb.org, but I prefer doing
it manually using telnet (first section of that link I just gave you). I
think the kb article is pretty clear on what to do in case you are an OR...
but please post back if you have questions.
