Sorry, I can't help, but I had similar problems recently and ended up
getting the biggest Windows Guru I could find to do the restore. He only
managed it by using some pretty nifty tricks he'd picked up somewhere.
I've now learned my lesson and forked-out the money for Veritas Backup Exec.
