Hello there.

My company has a new member of staff starting in mid July. They will
be working from home in a rural area without ADSL or cable and only
have dial-up. Is there a good RAS solution for dial-up or would GSM
phone connection be better? I have used MS PPTP VPN (SBS 2000 RRAS)
alright with ADSL, but with dial-up it is unusable in this way. Anyone
tried satelite Broadband?

I would be most appreciative of any advise anyone can give me.

Thanks,

Shane Molloy.

What about Terminal Server / Remote Desktop / PC Anywhere ?
That way you're only passing Screen Updates back and forth, no Mbs of
data.

Our company uses satalite broadband, the monthly costs are
around twice that of adsl and the setup costs can run
into a few hundred. Its not too clever anyway....download
speeds are good but using remote access programs are
always very slow.
