The problem is not with the Firewall. We are experincing the same
problems and it has to do with Drivers. Anyone have a solutions for
using the Shared Fax Service on clients running XPSP2?

You need to remove the Shared fax printer in XP. Then go
to control panel and using add windows components add fax
console (youmay need XP disc for this). Then re-boot and
re-install the shared fax printer. Should work fine after
this. You may need to do spme minor config of the fax
setup around company name etc etc
