how big are the data files? Many companies run 30MB data files and expect
it to smoke....each year should be pulled off and data size small as
posisble.

112 megabytes? For a QB file? Dude! Compress that file! No wonder
that sucker is sluggish! How many years of data do you have?

Back up the file and close/compress old years.
