How can I open particular ports on ISA so AOL can from a client's machine
access the net and all built in features?
Any response would be appreciated.

Cheers,

Arbel

Not sure - I don't let users install AOL on a domain computer. Can't they
just access the AOL homepage for their email? What is it they need? I don't
know what ports AOL uses - it tends not to play by the rules, as it were -
might want to search the AOL website for tech support on access through
proxy servers if it isn't working with a regular AOL TCP/IP connection.

Arbel, besides accessing AOL email from a web page, there is also a product
called ENetBot that will allow a user to send and receive AOL email thru
Outlook.

I have to agree with Lanwench 100% -- I refuse to install AOL on any
business computer for any of my customers. Usually, once I show then
ENetBot, they're happy.

Microsoft did have a KB article on AOL and ISA, if you truly insist on
moving forward with using AOL:

I had a look at the ENetBot site, and they have an article saying that AOL
e-mail can be accessed via IMAP into Outlook. The link they post to the AOL
help pages in turn gives methods for seeting this up in the various flavours
of Outlook.
They mention port number 587 being needed for Outgoing mail (SMTP).
Have you tested this method?

I'll have a look at ENetBot and see if I can import the extensive email
addresses too.
Thanks all for your responses.

Cheers,

Arbel
