Hello,

I have a client running SBS 2000 up to date on patches. Clients having =
both ISA Firewall Client and IE proxy settings (pointing to SBS) enabled =
are experiencing latency issues with an ASP's web application. When the =
users access the site and let the browser sit for about 30 seconds, =
clicking any link intermittently takes a while to load or it times out. =
I have tested this with the ISA Firewall Client enabled and the IE proxy =
settings disabled and the problem no longer exists. The client is =
connected to the internet on a full T1 and the ASP hosts their =
application in a web farm with load-balancing - latency should not be a =
problem.

Does anyone have any ideas of what I can do to alleviate this?

Thanks,
Scott

P.S. I have done the following:=20
- Created a filter to allow *.asp_site.com by anyone
- Created a filter to allow all ASP IP addresses by anyone

A few shots in the dark to add to the other reasoned suggestions...

On the client's Internet Explorer, Tools...Options...Connections
tab...LAN Settings...Advanced..."Do not use proxy server for addresses
beginning with"...go ahead and add *.asp site.com there.

Consider authentication issues, including an "upstream web proxy
server" problem associated with ISA Server.

Peter,

Your IE exclusion method does work - good suggestion, however, I'd still
like to find out why the Web Proxy service struggles with passing this data
through...

Thanks,
Scott
