Protect Exchange Server on sbs2000

I volunteer as my church network guy and inherited a sbs2000, with 2 nics,
Symantec Corp 9.0 and a Symantec 300 series appliance. The Exchange Server
was disabled due to no virus protection? Now my ignorance kicks in, will the
appliance protect the Exhange portion or do I need additional software for
email at the server.

Anybody got a setup close to mine and how are you protecting your environment?

Sorry if I'm missing something somewhere but why do you think you don't have
antivirus protection. Symantec Corporate Edition Enterprise 9.0 is an
enterprise level antivirus solution with Exchange protection on in. The 300
appliance is providing firewall services and some intrusion detection and
supplements your antivirus software.

I had to recheck the software package. I thought there was a "Corporate
Edition" and an "Enterprise Edition". My "Corporate" edition has server
anti-virus protection but did not say specifically "email or exchange". From
what I have been reading it seems that those directories are different on the
server and needed something different.

I have corporate edition deployed at two clients and their mail seems
protected just fine.
