I have a new load of SBS 2000, We have broadband access
with a static IP. Setup with 2 nics, Internal/External. I
have run through the internet setup wizard and checked
the option to allow VPN during the ISA configuration
part. The internet is working great, but I am unable to
VPN in from outside the network. I cannot even Ping the
static IP address from outside. I have checked all
settings with the broadband provider and they are
correct, we are able to ping the gateway and the cable
modem is supposed to be letting everything pass through.
I have gone into the ISA network configuration and done
the "allow VPN connections" wizard, RRAS is setup and the
ports are listening. Any ideas? can I take ISA out and
reinstall it? Can I temporarily fully disable ISA to see
if that is what is stopping the connections? Any help
would be appreciated, we are not needing VPN right now,
but will very shortly.

Thanks guru's.

HI Stefan,

Have you given permissions for the user to have VPN access?

We are not even getting that far, the client cannot connect to the server.
No connection goes through from the vpn client, and we cannot even ping the
server.
