Hi All

We have sbs2k3 prem running ISA 2000 after install of the ISA server FTP
traffic is blocked & we need to have it open.

How can I set this up please.

You mean people from inside the lan cannot connect to an external FTP
server? Did you install the firewall client? Also, you might want to try to
use the proxy settings on the FTP client.

Hi Javier

Yes the lan users can't access ftp site for say antivirus updates.

every thing worked fine till I installed the ISA server.

I have set it up as per MS doc every thing else works fine IE email & https
just ftp?.

what port is used for FTP?.

Be aware that most AV packages don't contact external servers for updates,
they use the SBS box.

So, the firewall client is installed... can you verify is not on "auto
discover"? Can you ftp using a "normal" client (i.e run->cmd->ftp
ftp.microsoft.com)?

The destination port would be TCP21 (and I *think* TCP20 for active mode
FTP).
