Hi

I am really stump on this problem. We connect remotely to our ts at the head
office which is part of a sbs2000 domain. There is an app on the ts that we
would like to print reports off to our hp all in one PSC 750 printer
connected locally via USB. The problem is that ts does not know about this
printer and the printer does not appear in the list of printers available to
ts. I have tried to remotely install printer driver on the ts but as the
printer is not accessible to ts either locally or via LAN, the printer setup
does not complete itself. I have also tried remote desktop connection by
ticking 'printers' under "connect to which local resources" option but that
hasn't helped either.

Could someone please give me step by step instructions to get my local
printer working with the remote ts?

Thanks

Regards

Not sure if this will help, but have you read through Claudio Rodriguez's
paper "Terminal Services and the Printing Redirection Process" at:

3 suggestions which may be worth a try,
- Connect the Printer via a std Parallel Cable if possible
- Connect the Printer via a USB to Parallel Cable if possible
- Map the Printer to a LPT Port
( net use LPT1 \\<PCname>\<PrinterName>

Never seen someone print to an usb printer from TS. What happens when
you hook up a parallel port printer that the server has drivers for?
