First, I am a HUGE fan of laser over ink for simply reason of cost. =
If you can't go laser then the cable connection is not the concern, it =
is the software driver. With the new RDP client, if it works locally it =
can be redirected but IDEALLY a printer native to 2000 is the way to go. =
What type of apps are you running or should I say what type of stuff =
will you be printing?

We're looking for a nice generic off-the-shelf-from-OfficeMax type =
of deskjet.
Perhaps the real question is what is required to know that a =
printer hooked to LPT or USB port on the client machine will be =
recognized and installed by the TS? Compatible drivers?

USB and LPT work equally but on 2000 DOT4 printers require a reg =
hack and are a pain. The best is if the print driver is naturally =
found. There is a printing paper by Claudio in my download section of =
mcse2000.com but if you go with HP Lasers that aren't DOT4 you are in =
good shape.

In my SBS2000 environment, there is a separate box being a TS =
in app mode.
Where would I go to find a list of printers that the remote =
user can use and successfully print from within the TS app?
Thanks!
