Hi All,

Does anyone know if it is possible to prevent a particular IP address from
receiving cached pages.

I have a Digital TV Box in my lounge and if I have the ISA cache on it
causes all sorts of problems, however I would still like to keep the cache
for my workstation.

I am running SBS2000.

Cheers

John

I don't know if its possible... but unless you really pay by MB of download
and/or have a very slow connection-> you can just turn it off completely (I
have never seen cached pages as something of the upmost importance).

However, I'm intrigued... what is a Digital TV Box? I presume is something
that connects thru isa to download content from the internet? If, so why
don't you connect it so it doesn't have to go thru ISA? If it is a
traditional Digital TV Box... connected to the cable TV signal then-> What
the hell is happening there??? It shouldn't have to do anything with your
LAN :-)

Cheers,

If you know which sites the DTV box accesses for its content, you can create
a destination set including those sites, then use a routing rule in ISA to
specify that no content from that destination set will be cached. Check the
ISA documentation on routing rules, and I suspect there is probably an
article at www.isaserver.org discussing this as well.

Yep... if you find out that here's the article:
