Hi,

Our network is dwon suddenly yesterday afternoon. We are using Small
Business Server 2000. Now all the computer in the network can not get on
internet. The workstations can not access to the server. I got Event ID: 201:
windows is out of license. Does it cause the whole disaster? Please help me.
Thanks!

Have you checked all the networking hardware that is common to the server,
particularly the switch, the server NIC, and the cables between them?

Hi,

I checked all the hardware. They are fine. I changed every workstation ip
address
to static ip addresse. Now all the workstations can log on to the domain.
But all the computers still can not access to internet. and I am not sure
whether Event ID:202 caused this disaster. Please give me some suggestions to
solve this issue. Thank you!

Hi,

Now, which one is it? 201 or 202? Can you post the ipconfig/all from the
server and one from a client please?

Sorry. I made a mistake. It is 202. I fixed part of the problem. Firewall is
in the charge of DHCP and had a short circuit yesterday. Workstations can log
on to the domain and can get on internet after I restart the firewall. But It
shows that "domain is not accessible. You might not have permission to use
this network resource......" when I click on the domain in microsoft windows
network. Still can not figure out this part. Thank you for your help!

Best regards,

George

Do you have an additional server in the network that hasn't been properly
configured to use the SBS CALs for user access?

How to configure licensing on an additional Windows server in an SBS network
(see section titled: Configure client access licenses on an additional
server)
