I'm having quite a set of problems with my SBS Server installation. In
installing Exchange on my SBS2003 machine, I get an error at the end of the
installation that the system is unable to create Distribution Groups, and
that I should try to create a group by hand to ensure that permissions are
correct, and re-run setup. I'm able to create a distribution list by hand,
but setup always fails in this way when I reinstall.

My event logs are full of this set of events:

MSExchangeIS - Event 1121 Error 0x8004010f connecting to the Microsoft
Active Directory.

MSExchangeIS - Event ID 5000 Unable to initialize the Microsoft Exchange
Information Store service. - Error 0x8004010f.

MSExchangeSA - EventID 9153 Microsoft Exchange System Attendant reported an
error '0x80072030' when setting DS notification.

MSExchangeFBPublish - hhhhEvent ID 8213 System Attendant Service failed to
create session for virtual machine TATOOINE. The error number is 0x80072030.

I'm installing as the Administrator user, who is a member of the Domain
Admins, Enterprise Admins, and Schema Admins group, so I've checked that
already.

I am inclined to think there is some kind of AD related permissions error,
but I've been unable to isolate it. Can someone help point me in the right
direction? What tests can I perform? Permissions to check? Etc...? Ask
away -- I'll answer as many questions as asked if I didn't provide enough
info.

Please post at microsoft.public.windows.server.sbs for SBS 2003, you will
get the best responses.

Is this a clean install or an upgrade?
