My clients begin to receive password expiration messages
14 days prior to a password change. I would like to
decrease this timeframe to 7 days. I cannot find a
setting for this in GPO though. Can somebody point me in
the right direction.

Thanks,
Don

I still don't see how any of these setting will affect
the option I am referring to. The message in question
pops up when a user first logs on and states "Your
password is set to expire in 14 days. Would you like to
change it now?". Notifying a user 14 days in advance of
a password expiring seems excessive, so I would like to
reduce it to 7 days.

Thanks,
Don

I think this is hardcoded and cannot be changed.

I figured it out! In GPO, go to: Computer=20
Configuration / Windows Settings / Security Settings /=20
Local Policies / Security Options / Prompt User to change=20
password before expiration.=20
