I have recently taken over the administration of a SBS 2000 server and the
administrator console is telling me the server has the following critical
error.
Critical - 6/12/2005 3:48:14 PM - Paging File Error Code (from WMI) != 0
Paging File : Critical condition. (WMI Status: 8 )
Has anybody else experianced this and how is it rectified, i have tried
searching the MS Knowledge Base but to no avail?
I have a problem installing an upgrade to an application which we run off
this server due to paging errors which i assume is connected.
Thanks in anticipation.

I have 2 No. 36GB SCSI drives running in raid 1 (mirrored) and there is 64%
space free (22GB spprox). I have defragmented the drives etc. to see if this
would solve the problem but it still persists

Whether instructed to or not...reboot. The reboot may take an extra =
long time...depending on how much RAM you have in the Server. Repeat =
the steps Above after the machine has settled down.

Then, in the upper window select where you want the page file to go and =
click Custom size in the area below. Set the min and max for the same =
amount. This should be 2 times the amount of RAM you have in the =
server.
