What version of Outlook? In particular, if this is Outlook 2003, I'd take
it out of Cached Exchange Mode to see if that fixes it.

You don't want the XP firewall disabled. Just add the Outlook program to the
exceptions in the XP Firewall.

I would expect this to be caused by a networking or RPC-related issue, but
it seems like you would have other symptoms or that the servers would be
logging errors of some kind to point you in a specific direction. Do the
two networks share any Outlook add-ins that could be the cause? Anything
else in common you can think of? A lot of the stuff I found in Technet
refers to slow connections (even if the effected computer is not the one
with the slow connection), where RPC issues are caused by the slow
connection.

Unless you can think of an add-in, a recent change to anything, or something
else the two clients have in common, I'd look at network issues.

I have a ?similar? problem with one workstation. - W2k sp4 + Outlook 2k.

The User is reporting that 'about 50% of the time' he can not send an
email. He will reply/forward/create new, but when he hits the send
button, 'nothing happens'.
his work-around for this is to then save as a draft, go into the drafts
folder, and then send.

Could this be related?
