Maybe a red herring, but... Outlook 2000 on my personal machine (dial up,
SMTP/POP3, Corp mode) has suddenly started refusing to send mail to one
domain (that I've been communicating with for years).

No matter what recipient, it just stays in the outbox. Have rebooted etc.

Also have NIS2002 on this box.

Are you getting an NDR from the recipient's server? If so, what is the
stated reason for the failure?

Just had a similar experience with client. They could send to all but two
of the domains they normally send to. Turned out that the ISP had made some
changes (unknown as to what they were). The client could send to the
problem domains from home (different ISP), but not from the office.

We ended up switching to a new ISP and "presto!", they now could send to any
and all domains.

Thanks, no NDR - because the mail to @thatdomain.co.uk just fails to move
out of the outbox! No matter who the recipient is!

Well, I left it overnight, and suddenly Outlook is happy to send to that
domain again. Weird. Especially since I did everything - change service,
reboots, repair .PST, etc. - you could think of.

Self-repairing systems - that's a concept I can live with!

Well, you'd think so but not knowing what caused it in the first place takes
away the pleasure of it curing itself! Also, no-one believes me....
