Hi

One of my remote users (120miles away) is complaining that they are
losing the odd appoinment from their callender.

They use Outlook 2002 linking to an Exchange server as part of a SBS
server - stand alone network at that location.

Are there any things I can try over the phone without making a special
journey?

Any help would be appreciated.

Many thanks

Mark F

Virus scanning the M drive can cause this. Any errors being logged by
exchange server in the app log?

Hello Mark,

As Dave already mentioned, the most common cause for the problem you've
described is that antivirus software is scanning the EXIFS partition in
Exchange. (ie. the "M:\" drive) Attempting to backup the M:\ drive can
cause this as well.

Make sure you have the M:\ drive as an exclusion for the real time scan and
any daily/weekly scheduled jobs as well. Usually there is more than one
exclusion necessary to configure, depending on the brand of antivirus
software. Let us know how this goes.
