Using SBS2003 premium and running ISA 2004.

Outbound FTP access seems to being stopped. The user can connect all ok to
the remote FTP site, with a user and password. But as soon as you try and
upload you get a access denied error. Downloading is all ok.

Have already unticked the FTP Read-Only access for the FTP filter but this
hasn't made any difference, also rebooted server after this...

Any Ideas??

Thanks

Are you sure that's the only rule that covers FTP? The FTP filter settings
are per-rule, and if there's another higher-priority rule that's covering
the access, it needs to be configured to allow uploads too.

I have just double checked this and there arn't any other Policys in place
that are any higher up which control the FTP access, well at least not with
the configure FTP right click option.

And everything that i can find with the read-only option has it un-ticked!!!

Any other ideas?

Presumably if ISA is blocking it then a log entry have beeen created
somewhere to that effect.
See where that leads.

I'm just trying to think whether ISA logs that it has intervened within
the FTP protocol.

But ISA logging would definitely be the next thing to look at, to try and
establish what's happening.
