We use a piece of Software over the web which entails
having a certain port open, RDP TCP port 3389 to be exact.

When we try to connect to the web address whilst connected
to the network Proxy we are able to connect to the web
address but unable to open the terminal services applet
for this software. All that opens is a blank white
Terminal services Applet Window.

However, if we logon to the same pc as a standalone user
rather than part of the domain and then connect via a dial
up connection the Temrinal services over the web works
fine.

Could someone please tell us how they open a port on ISA
so that we can be sure we are following the correct
procedure.

cheers

Do you have the firewall client installed on the workstation? Also make
sure that there is an ISA protocol rule that allows the user access to the
RDP protocol.
