I'm running a SBS 2000 server (totally up to date) and I'm trying to connect
a laptop that has been on the network before.
I get this error:
An error occurred when DNS was queried for the service location (SRV)
resources record used to locate a domain controller for domain xxxx.com

The error was No DNS servers configured for local system error code
0x0000267C DNS_Error_No_DNS_Servers

I've had similiar problems with a different laptop trying to connect to the
network, both of these laptop are used at the same home network.

I recently setup a new PC on the laptop with no problems connecting.

Both laptops are running XP pro (service Pack 1)

Hi Dave,

Have you created the computer account on the SBS? How are you joining that
laptop?
