I did a NetMeeting with an agent of ours last night, and ever since the NetMeeting, when she depresses the keys on her keyboard, they are not showing correctly on her screen.

Any ideas what's happening and how to fix it?

What type of computer? What program? What is showing? If it is a laptop is
her NumLock on?

Aaron, it's weird. For example, if she presses the "P" key on her keyboard, it shows up as a "Z" on her screen. It she presses "I" on her keyboard, it shows up as a "9.

During the NetMeeting, she tried to type something, and it started to do this. Then, after we disconnected, she called me back, and said she is still having this problem. I told her to reboot, and after the reboot, she is still having this problem

I feel terrible about this because I suggested we do the NetMeeting, and she was commenting how her laptop has never given her any problems and loved it. Then this happens! lo

I thought maybe there was something stuck in memory even with the reboot. So, I told her to keep it powered down for the night, and let me know if she continued to have this problem in the morning. This morning, she called and said that she is still having this problem

It's a Sortec laptop (she bought it from Sam's Club) and it's running Windows XP with 384 MB of memory

Any ideas

Torrey:

Have her do a cold reboot on the laptop (unplug electrical cable, remove the
battery for a couple of minutes, then replace the battery and reconnect
electrical cable, boot laptop). See if that gets her back to square one.

I saw a post that indicated that turning off Numlock *might* fix this
problem with Netmeeting.
