I am about to implement a SBS2000 system with the .local for the domain. One
concern I have is when I telnet to the mail port, it reports the system name
with the .local domain. Now I have experience email problems with some
clients in the past because the clients mail server couldn't do a DNS lookup
for my mail server. To fix that I had our ISP put a dns record for the
machine hostname. Is there anyway to configure smtp to use the "real"
hostname w/o the .local?

Disregard, I found it.
