Since the MyDoom.A virus has been in action I have been
receiving up to 250 undeliverable messages to my
postmaster every day! The emails are addressed to random
names which of course do not exist within the
organisation. Previously I only got about 10 undeliverable
per day.

Is there something I can do to stop this? Is it best to
send a NDR to the senders or should the email just be
dropped with no response?

I would appreciate any suggestions, tips or bad news.

Thanks!

Tippy.

This script reportedly works very well and is free of charge:

(FYI, there's an earlier thread on this dated 1/28/2004 - "Great script
against this new virus")

You might also consider the ISA Server Message Screener. I have implemented
this to block .pif, .scr, .exe, etc and it works great for my clients.

Is this installed in SBS by default? If not, do you know how one goes about
doing this?

Thanks. -Pat
