Have you tried this method then?
My thoughts were to do a minimum build of SBS on the new hardware and then
do a full restore restore from tape e.g. as if the current server had failed
and were were forced into purchasing/installing to hardware that was not the
same. The two items that I thought might throw a spanner in the works is the
extra processor and RAID 5 controller.
There are a couple of documents on restoring SBS from tape on the BExec site
but I didnt know whether these had been tested in the field or there was a
better method available.
Back in my Novell days moving hardware was a simple enough task as long as
you followed the procedure. With SBS things are not a straight forward with
no clear route to follow.
